Why Ohio State?

  • The curriculum at Ohio State places a heavy emphasis on experiential learning—providing opportunities for students to gain substantive hands-on experience well before graduation.
  • Moritz faculty members are some of the most sought-after experts in their fields. They regularly testify before Congress, are quoted by the national media, and collectively serve on more than 200 nonprofit, civic, and legal policy boards and committees.
  • Our faculty members’ passion for law is paralleled only by their passion for teaching. Many of our professors have an open-door policy, allowing students to build relationships with faculty, and receive one-on-one attention throughout their studies.
  • The Moritz College of Law is home to some of the top law school programs in the country, including the top-five nationally ranked Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
  • Moritz offers law students a small, intimate educational experience with access to all of the resources and opportunities associated with one of the largest research institutions in the country.

We have an outstanding curriculum here at Moritz. We offer a deep and broad range of upper level classes with a heavy emphasis on experiential learning.

My favorite thing about being part of the Buckeye Nation is the immense, genuine loyalty that the alumni network has to one another.

And so that allows us to offer some specialized classes through adjunct faculty, who are leading practitioners in their field, who can come in and impart their wisdom to our students as well.

I think that the education that we provide here at Ohio State University Moritz College of Law is a tremendous value. At this public law school, you have a stable faculty, who are all leading scholars in their fields.

Launching students into successful careers has been our core strategic focus for at least the past 10 years.

I am really proud of our legal writing program. We take care to give one-on-one attention to every single student. And I have told my students before that what we teach in legal writing, that's power. And at the same time, we have a nationally renowned Dispute Resolution program, where you have experts in the field and students able to get lots of learning, like through my negotiations class, where they're doing simulations and role plays every single week.

I have all the resources I need. I have a positive friendly culture. And I've always felt like I've been at the center of everything I want to be at here.
